About The Role
📌 Duties & Responsibilities of a QA Tester
Analyze system/application requirements to understand the functionalities that need to be tested.
Develop test plans and test cases based on requirements.
Execute testing (both manual and automated) to ensure the application meets specifications.
Record and document bugs/errors in detail, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
Collaborate with the development team to explain bugs and ensure proper fixes are implemented.
Perform regression testing after fixes or updates are made by developers.
Identify potential risks and provide recommendations for improving product quality.
Prepare and deliver regular testing reports to relevant teams.
Ensure quality assurance (QA) standards are met before the product is released to users.
Requirements
📌 Qualifications for QA Tester
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Skilled in creating test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
Experienced in using testing tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Postman, Selenium, JMeter, or similar).
Strong knowledge of manual testing and preferably automation testing as well.
Detail-oriented, meticulous, and possessing strong analytical skills.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
Minimum of 2–4 years of experience as a QA Tester/Software Tester (preferred).
